many of tim’s stories are set on the stolen lands of nowra, dhurga for black cockatoo. he acknowledges and shows respect to the traditional owners, the wodi-wodi and dharawal people of the yuin nation. some of his work aims to show the relationship between colonialism, land violence and domestic violence. as academic Patrick Wolfe wrote, ‘Colonialism is a structure, not an event.’
